Head of Delivery

Genève, Schweiz

About OneDoc

OneDoc is the leading healthcare platform in Switzerland. Today, more than 13'000 healthcare professionals and 3 million patients are using our services every day. You may even be one of them!

Our mission is simple: make interactions between health professionals and patients easier. To achieve this, we can count on a young and dynamic team of more than 80 people spread in five offices all around Switzerland.

The role

You are the CTO's right arm for execution. You own the fact that the product actually ships on time, at the quality bar, with no surprises in the last week before release. You spend most of your day in the code and with the developers, not in meetings or spreadsheets. If you'd rather manage a Gantt chart than open a pull request, this is not your job.

Position overview:

  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Employment type: Full-time (100%)
  • Location: Geneva / Lausanne
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Work model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days on-site / 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Break features down with the developers before work starts. Sit with the dev, cut the feature into shippable slices, challenge the estimate, agree on what "done" means — including tests, edge cases, and rollback.
  • Review code and technical designs daily. Not rubber-stamping: you catch the wrong abstraction on day 2, not in the release candidate. You show, in the code, what a better solution looks like.
  • Be the sparring partner. When a developer is stuck or heading down the wrong path, you pair with them, work the problem, and unblock it same day, not next sprint.
  • Run the release. You own the release cut, the go/no-go call, the hotfix procedure, and the post-release check. Quality and security gates don't get waived because the deadline is close: you plan so they don't have to be.
  • Spot slippage early and fix the cause. When something drifts, you find out why within days (unclear spec, underestimated complexity, a dev out of their depth) and act on it. Leadership hears about risk from you before it becomes a delay.
  • Keep the standard high by example. The way you scope, review, test, and communicate is the template for the team.

Required Qualifications

  • A strong software engineer first. You can open an unfamiliar codebase, understand it, and guide a developer to a concrete solution in the code, not on a whiteboard.
  • 7+ years building software, with real experience leading delivery for a team, meaning you've personally been accountable for releases, not just present at standups.
  • You've shipped under pressure before and know how to protect quality when the deadline is real.
  • You adapt process to the team, not the team to the process. The lightest workflow that produces predictable releases wins.
  • Direct communicator: clear priorities for developers, an honest picture for leadership including bad news, early.
  • Fluent English; French is a plus.

Note: This position is based in Geneva or Lausanne (Switzerland) and is open exclusively to applicants with a valid work permit.
